For many years my husband, Charlie, and I have longed for a place to get away from the stresses and strains of our everyday lives. Like many visitors to our cabin, we sought to escape the noise and distractions of the city. When we were presented with the opportunity to build a log cabin in these secluded woods, we couldn’t pass it up.

We knew it wouldn’t be easy. Like most people, our lives were filled with comings and goings, work and commitments. We thought we’d be too busy. But this constant commotion was the very reason we had to go through with our dream. And we’ve never looked back.

When we awoke to the first sunrise peeking through the window, as we listened to the first lonely song of a Whippoorwill on our deck, we felt refreshed. We were ready once again to experience all that life has to offer. It was then that we knew we had to share it with the world. Everyone needed a chance to find peace in the quiet of our cozy cabin.

Of course, there is no running from our troubles. Realistically, they will still be there when we return.

But we hope that our cabins can be for you the same refuge – a chance to breathe, if only for a moment. A temporary standstill. A place to exhale your worries and troubles in one great sigh. To pause, and contemplate the things that really matter in this life. And to take in the peace and tranquility of the clean country air.
